Reading this helped me BIG TIME. I thought it was just me, but knowing others working in SM are going through the same reassured me that I'm not crazy, the burnout I feel is real, and that I need to set some boundaries (or at least try). Thank you!

For Anonymous whose boss won’t pay for a scheduler— check out Facebook Business Suite - it started rolling out in Sept, but there was also a workaround way to schedule in Creator Studio previously (not sure about stories). https://www.facebook.com/business/news/introducing-facebook-business-suite

Rachel- I think I’ve read all the newsletters, so apologies if you’ve covered, but a review of native/free/cheap management tools would likely be super helpful for anyone without agency support, e.g. surprisingly despite the price Social Studio has major gaps for Instagram...but it’s near impossible to know that without onboarding or talking to someone else who has recently onboarded. They’re selling an unsupported product. :|

I run a small business and do my own posting daily and I for sure get burnt out. I sometimes take a week (and even sometimes two!) where I take a break and don’t post. I tend to feel guilty about those periods because I’m missing out on growth, and I often wonder how much Instagram penalizes me for taking these breaks every month or two. (It seems like my posts are less visible when I start posting again.) Any insights here would be great!

Hello, I think it would be very useful for you to create a small content calendar for those free weeks in which you can at least leave a scheduled publication, that will help you. I also recommend that you be honest and close with your audience, tell them that you are the one who manages the networks and that you need those days off, every time you are going to leave the last post, before the rest retreat, you can remember it and tell them "I'll be back soon and I hope they are still here with me when I return ", your audience will surely feel empathy.
