So cool to see a detailed day-in-the-life in written format--especially for jobs like this where they look super glam on social media. Still doesn't sound half bad!
The Infatuation rules, and not just because they rated my bagel place as #2 in NYC.
Social-first was Buzzfeed's original theory of the future of media. They tried to leverage their large social audiences (That they grew doing just that!) for paid media deals, but that became unwieldy as their distribution was at the whims of mercurial platforms.
The Infatuation, being owned by JP Morgan Chase, is uniquely positioned to go all in on social. Their goals are different than media companies tasked with driving subs or advertising revenue. When media brands are too good at social, they can be a victim of their own success (Why pay for a sub when their TikToks are so good?).
