For a one-person marketing team, it could be called "getting our foot in the door."

Sometimes you don't have the budget for a full-scale assault, so we turn one happy user into a Trojan Horse. They wheel us right past the gates, and suddenly we are running the whole company's marketing from inside the city walls.

It's not strategy, it's a survival tactic.
