Yep, this IS the best interview you've done. I love this so much, and I feel like as a novelist trying to manage social media essentially as an independent creator, Grayson's ideas and philosophy about this is SO helpful and refreshing.
So much love to the Columbus Library! If you're an Ohioan, reach out to Gov. Dewine to support them right now (and all Ohio libraries) to protect free and open access to information. Details on their social account (of course) and sharing here: https://www.columbuslibrary.org/keep-the-plf/
Huge library lover and I loved this - what incredible work Grayson is doing! Immediate follow. And shoutout to San Francisco Public Library's IG account, highly recommend :)
As a former community engagement librarian who struggled to manage social media and all the other hats librarians wear, I’m in awe of the way that Grayson describes the library and its value to society. We need more people like him telling these stories! Thank you for such an impactful interview. It made my morning!
I love that Grayson’s approach is the antithesis of my LinkedIn feed, which is all about how AI can help us all create more content, faster. Team Grayson 🙌🏾
I don't need to tell you that your social media is amazing (it's incredible!). You have a huge talent for this, and what you are doing for libraries in general is amazing, thank you! I also want to thank you for pointing out that this is your job and you can focus solely on it, so when the people I work with ask me why we can't do that I can point to all the other responsibilities I have as a communications manager that would make it impossible, even if I had this kind of talent. Fund us and staff us and see what we can do library world!!!!
